This year, tng worldwide (TNG) is combining the best fall industry events, Kemon Nights and the Tiffany Awards, into one fabulous night, all to benefit the American Cancer Society (ACS). Last year’s debut of Kemon Nights energized the beauty industry with an innovative approach to fashion, hairstyle and entertainment. Live stage performances showcase the latest in Italian fashion and trends for the season.

Celebrating its seventh year, the Tiffany Michigan Hairdresser of the Year Awards celebrates the artistic mastery of hairdressing by recognizing Michigan’s most outstanding hairdressers and colorists. The high-energy fashion show of Kemon Nights is woven around the Tiffany Award presentation, leading up to a riveting performance of the three finalists competing live for top honors.

Celebrity judges for the Tiffany Awards include Jerry and Kym Douglas. Jerry Douglas is best known for his role as John Abbott on the #1 daytime drama, The Young and the Restless. Television personality and best-selling author Kym Douglas is a Fashion and Beauty contributor on the Ellen show and the lifestyle expert on the #1-rated morning show Good Day LA which airs on KTTV-Fox 11 in Los Angeles.

Award finalists and winners will be announced at Kemon Nights, held at the Royal Oak Music Theatre on September 26, 2009. All net proceeds from Kemon Nights go to ACS to fund cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services. As a five-star investor and national corporate team sponsor for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, TNG has raised more than $1.3 million to date for ACS.

Winners receive stunning crystal trophies designed by Tiffany & Co as tribute to their extraordinary talent. Categories include Color, Formal, Women’s Editorial, Avant Garde and Michigan Hairdresser of the Year. A high-energy fashion show is woven around the award presentation leading up to the riveting live event for Michigan Hairdresser of the Year in an “Oscars meets American Idol” stylized competition.
