Preparation

The model’s hair was prepared by first lightening with Lunex Ultra using 20 Volume UNI Oxy Developer in foils  placed into a brick lay pattern. Root-to-end colour was applied to the hair using equal parts of Yo.Coloring 10.17 Ice and 10.20 Vanilla in combination with Mixy.Milk 3 for 25 minutes. To prepare for styling, the model’s hair was shampooed and conditioned with the Liding Life Frequence System. The hair was then given an extra boost of conditioning with Moroccan Oil Hydrating Styling Crème and Moroccan Oil Original Oil Treatment. The hair was then blown dry straight and ready for styling.

Styling Technique

With the hair having been properly prepared for styling, a Styrofoam® sphere was placed at the nape and secured with Bobby Pins. Sections of the hair were smoothed with Liding Sculpting Wax and wrapped around the sphere to conceal it in the design. Other sections from the sides were gathered and sprayed with Liding Finishing Net and placed around the base of the design. Sections of hair from the crown were then sculpted using Liding Finishing Net and curled at the ends using a one inch curling iron. The remaining hair from the front of the ear that was curled was shaped using Liding Sculpting Wax and Liding Finishing Eco Strong so that shape would be maintained. The bangs were smoothed back using Liding Finishing Eco Strong and the style was ready to be photographed.

 Preparation

The model’s hair was prepared by applying Yo.Coloring 10.2 and Mixy.Milk 2 to the base. Lightening was achieved with the hair directed forward, slicing diagonally from the temple to the corner of the eyebrow following a curve with Liding Lunex Ultra Cream Superlifter and 20 Volume UNI Oxy Universal Cream Peroxyde for 20 minutes. The hair was then cleansed with Liding Life Frequence System. Once cleansed, the hair was protected using Liding Life Rephair Spray while damp and combed through to distribute evenly. Then, Liding Control Gel and Liding Hot Nutrition were applied, in addition to Moroccan Oil Original Oil, for shine. Once the hair was blown dry, it was set in hot rollers with Liding Hot Gloss. The rollers were removed, and styling began.

Styling Technique

For this elegant design, three “V” shaped sections in the back of the head that pointed toward the center part line. From here, a low ponytail was made and braided, smoothed with Liding Sculpting Wax, then tucked under the middle “V” shape section and pinned in place.  Working from side to side and using each “V” section as a base, pieces were sculpted and smoothed with Liding Sculpting Wax and Liding Finishing Eco Strong to mould “C” shapes that form this design’s flowing composition. These pieces were pinned into place while taken from each side. Finally, to finish the design for photographing, the model’s hair was held in place with Liding Finishing Eco Strong.
